The course is designed teach women life saving skills and techniques to promote safety and self-defense. For more than a decade, we have taught self-defense as a public service to women in and around the Twinsburg area. And while we hope women never need to use self-defense skills, our classes have helped women feel empowered and capable, however, true safety and self-defense comes from practice and repetition of safety skills and techniques.
We have now developed a program that is a series of “Women Safety” modules that, when combined, provide a thorough course on safety and self-defense. Each module is a “stand alone” training session so students may enter into any class, but the final goal is to complete all the training modules and to continue on a regular basis to develop skills and practice through instruction and repetition.
The modules will be offered 4 times a month, twice on weekdays and twice on weekends. Initially there will be one training group (A), but an advanced group (B) will be added for women who have attended regularly and are ready to progress.
